When you’re setting up an exhibition, wouldn’t it be great to…

  • try out different arrangements of your pieces?
  • experiment with lighting before hanging anything?

That’s what we can do with software. We call it pre-visualization - a digital mock-up of the gallery space that behaves like the real world (accurate scale, realistic lighting, true-to-life materials).
Because it’s virtual, you can test countless layouts for a fraction of the cost of building physical models.

Software can be intimidating, though. That’s why we take care of the technical setup – letting you focus on the art, not the tech.

Two people on either side of a computer monitor. One with artist's brush in hand, looking confused. The other with an open hand toward the screen, talking.

That’s where we can help.

We’ve spent 30 years as game developers working side-by-side with artists.
Artists think in pictures; technology often talks in long sentences.

We set up the software for you, tailoring it to your exhibition. We handle installation and configuration so you can make final adjustments to suit your vision.

Codevelopment

One thing that makes game development different from most software is that we have to “find the fun.” We start with an idea of how a game should feel and build a minimal prototype to gauge its fun. If it isn’t fun, we often have to start over.

This principle can also apply to art. Sometimes you must “trust the process,” but other times you need to “see where this leads.”

This is the opposite of a typical consulting contract, which assumes the final project is known from day one.

This is why all our contracts are set up as Time & Materials. You get a consistent hourly rate for our services. You decide how much (or how little) of our services you need. If you choose to go a different direction, we’ll adapt wherever the project leads. We won’t lock you into a path that isn’t working.

Collaboration

Our goal is your success - we’re not just consultants or cash-grabbers.

Too often, consultants are hired only to fix a single task without considering how it fits into the broader project. Even worse, they may use proprietary tools that only they understand, just to keep the contract alive.

We do things differently. We work side-by-side with you, providing support and ensuring you retain the right to repair your own tools. Everything we deliver is designed and documented so you can maintain it yourself.
