When I saw them on the sonogram, I started grinning like an idiot.

Big changes are coming.

Isn’t it a problem that the news media takes polls, then broadcasts that information, *before* an election? Doesn’t that mean you’re poisoning the voting pool by giving people a different idea of what will happen?

• polls say obama was gonna win tonight
• but isn’t it possible that people saw that and said ‘hey, i gotta go vote’
• and now clinton is winning because of it?

or, a more sinister example

• polls say candidate A is gonna win
• so candidate A supporters say “they’ll win, i don’t have to worry about voting”
• yet candidate B wins by a few percentage points because of the people who decided to come out because of the poll?

does that sound *exactly* like the 2000 election?

I hate political debates for president. I’ve seen two Democratic and one Republican this year already.

They’re all trying to make complex issues into black and white. Won’t listen to each other. Just want to bash Bush (Democrats) rather than actually fix anything.

I know (so far) who I’ll be voting for, and the debates really have helped to shape that. It’s not what they’re saying. You can tell which ones actually know what they’re talking about. There aren’t many.

My brother bought a new dell lappy. Nice machine.

Vista came preinstalled. That’s OK. Wanted to downgrade to XP until Vista was ready. XP is listed as an available option when we bought the machine. But now, you can’t get the XP drivers from their website! How does that make sense?

Finally gave in. Vista. My brother’s gonna be annoyed. More importantly:
*I don’t like to lose.*

Last weekend I had a great time learning to ride a motorcycle with my good friends Rozberk and wolfpaws. Just barely got in, but other people cancelled.

Today I did the last parts. I have my motorcycle license!

And now, to declare my next entertainment goal: to fly planes. I figure a decade to get there is a good goal.
